They came looking for a fight - give it to them!

Eyevasion is a classic shoot-em-up (aka shmup) with some modern survivor-like twists. Take on wave after wave of increasing numbers and difficulty of squishy eyeball aliens, dodge their projectiles of doom, and choose carefully which parts of your ship to upgrade in order to achieve victory.

Can you make it through all 10 waves and achieve a high-score?

how to play / controls

         D-Pad (left/right arrow keys) - move

         X Button (c/v on keyboard) - shoot/select

O Button (z/x on keyboard) - fire special weapon*/re-roll shop

D-Pad (up/down arrow keys) - change turret shot angle*

*requires owning the upgrade from the shop

collectables

Re-roll token. Grants one refresh of the upgrade shop. Unspent tokens are worth bonus points at the end of the game.
Coins. Score bonus points at the end of the game for each one collected.

upgrades

At the end of every wave, you'll have access to the upgrade shop, where you can choose one of three randomly selected options. If you don't like what you're offered you can always spend any re-rolls you have to refresh the shop. Choose carefully, you can't have everything!

        Gives on extra life

A one-time use bomb that can be used to clear all the projectiles on screen and deal damage to all enemies.

Adds a turret to your ship that fires at an angle

Allows you to change the shot angle of your turrets using the up/down buttons

Bigger bullets that deal more damage

      Increases your fire-rate

      Increases your base move speed

No more movement penalty while shooting

Pulls coins and re-roll tokens toward you

fun; plain and simple. heavily polished, graphics are beautiful, not trying to be something it's not, a fun little galage spin with charm. I look forward to any future works of yours, I especially love your softer, rounded art style, it just oozes uniqueness and cute charm!

Coming from Pico-8's subreddit, I'd say this is a great shump. Simple controls and gameplay, good random buff selection, and great hectic enemy waves.

So far, so good when I played it and yea, a great game for a first timer. Congrats!

Solid retro shmup.  Not too complex, but not too simple.

Great shmup! Really nailed a unique, satisfying feel and style. Builds pace well and the RNG upgrades are excellent. Shout out to the standout art style :) look forward to the next project !
